Jesse Rogers (aka) Talisen has been drumming in the Central Florida area for over 10 years. He has been a drum circle facilitator for the FPG and has performed at Paralounge and Hawkfest on a number of occasions. He has recorded and produced a number of instructional and performance CD’s. He was one of the founding members of “Earth Drum Tribe”, “The Melbourne Drum Tribe” as well as “The Rhythm Herders”, he plays regularly as part of the Mosaic Ensemble for Festival of the Nile and has performed at “Spirit of the Tribes” in South Florida. In addition to playing and recording he runs Bardic Productions (www.bardicproductions.com) an independent label designed to promote local music artists in the area.

Jason Isla has been playing music since childhood. Before focusing on hand drums he studied the piano, violin, and upright bass. When he was preparing for volunteer work in Zimbabwe 11 years ago he was first introduced to and overtaken by the djembe. It was in Africa where he was given the name “Tawanda” (”We are now many”) or “Tawa” for short. Jason has been mentored in drum circle facilitation by Jana Broder (Drum Magic) and trained with Kalani (Drum Circle Music). Outside of percussion, Jason spent years in the traditional and online classroom teaching various social studies subjects. His classroom experience directly serves his drum circle participants and drum students. His desire to share the joy of music making provides an infectious environment of fun.
“Tawa” has worked with talented musicians and dancers from a variety of styles and traditions: African percussion masters, club DJs, rock and reggae bands. He started Giving World Percussion in 2007 to promote the growth of community music, a passion developed while living in Africa.

Sean Richards, CongaSean , with 15 years drumming experience has proven himself to be a strong influence in the southeastern drumming community. Sean’s talent for the drum was apparent at a young age. When he was just 2 he would bang on pots and pans to the joy of his parents! He received a starter drum kit at 4, forever cementing his love for the drum. A multi-skin drummer that spans many countries and cultures, he plays conga, djembe, doumbek, misc. percussion such as shakers, clave, cowbell, woodblocks and bass djun-djuns or bass drums. Sean has performed with several original rock bands, recorded on many studio albums, taught group drum workshops and one on one classes. He has participated, organized and facilitated countless drum circles including large festival fire circles for more than 10 years. CongaSean has a unique playing style and approach to rhythm that is all his own.

Christopher Edward Rogers (aka) Aarogon started drumming at the age of 6 and hasn’t stopped learning since. He started attending the Florida Pagan Gathering at 8 years old. At 12 he recorded a few songs, and helped his father with some of his drumming classes. This year he has played in 2 concerts, and is currently working on a side project. He is now in the new group Tribalektic, a group of passionate drummers who love to feel the rhythm of the beat run through them.
