wandering Spiral

The music duo Wandering Spiral, featuring Michelle Davidson and Rick de Yampert, performs
original East-West fusion, Buddha lounge and trance soundscapes, plus their arrangements of
Beatles classics and Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir.” 


Their instrument palette includes sitar, Native American and Arabic flutes, metal and wooden
tongue drums, digital tabla, bass, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, tribal percussion and synth.
Wandering Spiral has performed at mind/body/spirit events, art festivals and art exhibit openings,
Pagan gatherings, UU programs, sound meditations, yoga sessions, sacred events, cafes, concerts
and more throughout Central and Northeast Florida.


Wandering Spiral also performs spoken word, reciting the poetry and writings of Rumi, Hafiz,
Yeats, Nikki Giovanni, Alan Watts and other wisdom teachers, backed by live sitar, flutes and
tongue drums.

* Michelle Davidson is an artist, writer-poet, musician and psychic intuitive. Her visionary

* Rick de Yampert is a freelance writer, musician, poet, artist and lecturer on metaphysical
topics. He wrote about the arts, entertainment and pop music for 25 years at newspapers in
Daytona Beach, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee, before becoming a freelance writer in 2015.
He is the author of the book “Crows and Ravens: Mystery, Myth, and Magic of Sacred Corvids,”
released by Llewellyn in March 2024.


As a musician, Rick plays sitar, Native American flutes, tongue drums, djembe and guitar. With
Michelle Davidson he is half of the music duo Wandering Spiral.


As an artist, Rick takes photos of the crows who visit his Palm Coast home, then he shape-shifts
the photos via digital “woo-woo” (but never AI or Photoshop) and prints the trippy, psychedelic

programs on the Hindu sacred Om, shamanic drumming, Taoism, the world’s Goddess traditions,
crows and ravens, modern Paganism and more at UU churches, Pagan gatherings and
metaphysical festivals. He has followed a Pagan spiritual path since the early 1990s.
